Recoil was developed by leaders in Mössbauer methodology with Mössbauer users in mind, to make their everyday tasks and their complicated analysis chores as simple and error-free as possible. Recoil is a 32-bit program designed to run on Windows® 9X and Windows NT® on the Intel platform.

• 486 (Pentium or higher strongly recommended)
• 5 MB of hard disk space (installation)
• 8 MB RAM (16 MB for Windows NT®)
• VGA adapter and monitor (256 colour SVGA recommended)
• Pointing device (mouse or equivalent) required for some operations
• Windows-compatible printer for hard copy output
